Author Line Up Change

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Keith R. A. DeCandido will not be able to provide us with a story for this anthology.
However, we will still have a full line up of twelve amazing authors. The Table of Contents and cover will follow this week as soon as I get the final contracts in.

I am ever so much closer to being able to reveal the Table of Contents for this anthology! Once all the contracts are signed and countersigned and the cover art is complete, I'll be able to share both the cover and the table of contents with you.
After that, it's proofing and production and sooner than I planned (hopefully), getting the books to you for your reading pleasure!

Down to the final stories!

Now that submissions are closed, I have reviewed the submissions and have narrowed them down to the final 13! Woohoo!
Once i make my final determination, I will share the cover with the author's names on it. Very excite!
After that, it's contracts, edits, and then production! Provided everything goes smoothly, expect to see these books in your mailboxes earlier than the predicted date of July of this year. Part of the reason for this is that I worked very hard to select the final-ish stories this week, but also part of it will be that these stories will require very little editing. Woo!

Last Day for Submissions!

Today (12/31) is the last day to submit stories for Humans Wanted! Submissions will not be accepted after 11:59 PM MST on 12/31, so get them in beforehand!
By this time tomorrow, I'll be reading the final submissions and starting to make my decisions. I have received (so far) around 250 submissions, many of which have been absolutely fantastic. With so many amazing stories, I will definitely have a hard time selecting the final ten for publication.
It's been absolutely fascinating seeing where people go with this prompt. The sheer variety of stories and the imagination presented speaks to the prompt as well, showing just how awesome humans can be when we put our minds to it.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted so far. Your efforts have not gone unappreciated. Best of luck to everyone submitting before the deadline!

One month left to get your submissions in! I can't wait to read them.
I have received Jody Lynn Nye's story! It is awesome. I won't ruin it for you, but in my opinion, it perfectly introduces the concept and then does some very very clever things with it. I can't wait to share it with you!
